New Caledonia

Known for its stunning Isle of Pines to the south and Loyalty Islands to the east, the main island of New Caledonia is Grande Terre at almost 400 kilometers long and 50 kilometers wide. The archipelago includes more than 140 different islands, including Ouvéa, Lifou, Tiga, and Maré. Together with the adjacent islands, the island covers an area of 18,500 km2. Located within an archipelago, the archipelago has a wide variety of attractions that attract tourists. The majority of people live in Greater Nouméa's capital city and its suburbs, while 32 villages or communes with fewer than 7,000 residents inhabit the rest of the territory. A visit here entails idyllic deserted beaches, untouched flora and fauna, smooth roads, and the opportunity to get to know the locals.
